Julio Dhiser

A lengthy list of qualifications and job duties come with being the Network Engineer for Joy! Communications, but really Julio's position boils down to this:

He just makes it all work.

Julio designs all the network connections for the client. This entails not only installing and programming routers and switches, but also includes review and analysis on the project site to determine if the existing infrastructure is sufficient to accept the new system.

Providing support to the sales team, Julio's presence may be felt at various stages in the operation. If there is some reason to think there may be issues with the network, then he may go out on the initial call with the sales person. Alternately, he may visit the site on a second or third trip instead, during the solution design process.

How do Joy's installations go so smoothly? Well there's a variety of points where a problem may arise. In order to eliminate possible failure points Julio uses Joy's internal lab to put together and test everything prior to the install at the client location. This allows for rapid analysis and troubleshooting to quickly and efficiently complete the install.

Julio may also go out the the site well after an install to troubleshoot and analyze a situation to determine a resolution. ISP's make errors the IP address may be wrong or some other concern that we end up needing to contact the ISP to fix.

Internally, Julio acts in a network administrator capacity. Handling all of the networking servers, maintenance, routers and switches for the company, as well as supporting e-mail, the exchange server, the software and the servers of the company.

So how did Julio come to be with Joy! Communications?

Hailing from Costa Rica, Julio was the network and communications manager for a major business operation in Central America, with 15 years in the field. With an eye towards his daughter's future educational options as well as pursuing something better for his family, Julio decided to move his family to Florida.

Unfortunately, this occurred during a difficult period of time in the economy.

Like many others, Julio accepted a position not in his chosen field, while continuing to look at companies for employment. Eventually, facilitated through the government agency "Employ Florida", Julio was connected with Joy Communications in early 2010 - where he's been ever since.

So thank you Julio, for all that you do for Joy Communications!
